Fees
Real Skyline Freight fees
Skyline charges marketplace fees for unlocking contacts and reserving capacity — not a SaaS subscription. Amounts below match the live payment catalog. Admin may override some fees in production settings.
Heavy truck slot unlock
Paid by the transporter to unlock / reserve a heavy cargo slot (local & export).
TZS 100,000
- Applies to heavy / big-cargo slot reservation
- Amount may be overridden by live admin pricing settings
- Does not include the shipper↔transporter freight rate
- Payment rails: mobile money / wallet where enabled
Light trip booking
Base platform fee for light-vehicle categories (Bodaboda and related light trips).
TZS 300
- Bodaboda / light booking fee starts at TZS 300
- Some light categories use higher booking fees (e.g. Bajaj, Tuk Tuk, Canter)
- Final amount shown in-app before payment
- Separate from the driver fare negotiated for the trip
Transit & contact unlocks
Transit slot unlocks use USD. Contact unlocks for marketplace introductions use TZS.
$100
- Transit slot unlock: USD 100
- Farmer / buyer contact unlock: TZS 2,500
- Optional intelligence entitlements billed separately when purchased
- Skyline does not escrow shipper↔transporter freight payments today
What Skyline does not charge as “subscription SaaS”
There is no monthly SaaS subscription plan. Posting cargo, browsing the public board, and using role dashboards do not require a subscription. You pay for specific marketplace products (slot unlock, light booking, contact unlock, optional entitlements) when you use them.
Shipper↔transporter freight payment terms (for example 80% at loading / 20% on delivery) are informational agreement terms between parties — not Skyline-verified escrow.

Frequently asked about fees
Is browsing the cargo board free?
Yes. The public cargo board is free to browse. Log in to reserve a truck slot or post cargo.
Who pays the heavy slot unlock?
The transporter pays the unlock/reservation fee for a heavy cargo slot. The freight rate between shipper and transporter is separate.
Does Skyline hold freight money in escrow?
Not today. Payment terms on cargo are informational. Skyline processes marketplace fees (unlock/booking/wallet) through configured payment rails.
Can fees change?
Yes. Catalog defaults apply unless admin pricing products or legacy settings override them. The in-app checkout always shows the amount you will pay before confirmation.
